The Owia Salt Pond is a unique geological formation situated near the Carib village of Owia on the northeastern coast of Saint Vincent. A massive volcanic rock barrier shields the pond from the rough Atlantic waves, creating a peaceful, saltwater pool teeming with reef fish and marine life. Fresh sea water continuously crashes over the rocks, naturally replenishing the pool. The site features beautiful landscaped cliffs, walking steps down to the pond, and shaded picnic areas.
